TAIRUA.—SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

A correspondent at Tairua sends the following :—"Mr. F. Haggar, contractor for the conveyance of the wire tramway material to the Prospector's claim, was bathing on the morning o£ Christ mas Day, at the wharf, in front ofMr. W. B. Jackson's house, Tairua harbour.
