THEATRICAL.
Theatrical business is not very prosperous. Every-kind of - business is dull just now—it is in fact the dull season. Miss Carry George.snd Mr. E. W. Laurence have been playing here for three months. Professionally ;.ihey have been successful. The principal parts of Miss George are light comedy. Miss Lizzie Morgan has also fulfilled a successful engagement. Miss Clara Stephenson is the great favourite in burlesque ; she .attires these parts magnificently and her energy and spirit immediately engages the attention of the audience. She is unquestionably one oi the most successful in burlesque .roles thai ire have in -,these colonies. Miss Lizzie -Busche (Mrs. G. W. Collier) takes :her benefit this evening. The ether actors in Auckland, who are known in the colonies .are Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pcole (Mrs. Fatty Holt), Mr. and Mrs. Charles Searle. We hear of several well reputed performers as likely to visit Auckland.
