August 19.—The -.s. lona arrived from Auckland at 10.15 a.m. Arrivals—Fawn, cutter, from Auckland; Mariner, from the Thames. Departures—Christina and Maud, with coal, for Auckland: lona, for Northern ports. NELSON. August IS.—The schooner Herald, with railway trucks for Westport, attempted to go out at quarterebb. and there being no wind tb* curront carried her onto the Arrow Rock. The Murray tried to tow her oil, but without avail. The general opinion is she will be got off at high water without much damago. The s.s. Taupo left at 8 pm. yesterday for the North. NEW PLYMOUTH. August IS.—The s.s. Taupo left at 8 p.m. yesterdty for the Manukau. LYTTELTON. August 18. —The s.s. I'hcebo left for Dunedin at 4.20 p.m. with the San Francisco mail. PORT CHALMERS. August 13.—The b.s. Phcebo having mado tho passage from Onchunga to Port Chalmers in 3 days 18 hours, including 15 hours' detention, the directors of the New Zealand Steam Shipping Company telegraphed to Captain Worsp an expression of their satisfaction, and presented him with a handsome pair of binocular glasses*
