PIMZE-FIRING REPRESENTATIVES.
A I't iit.rc meeting was held yesterday at noon, for the purpose of considering what steps should be taken to give a suitable reception to the Colonial Itepresentatives sent to the prize-firing matches at the Thames. The meeting was very thinly attended. His Worship the Mayor (F. L. Prime, Ea<j.,) presided.—Mr. 11. Isaacs said the time of meeting was most unsuitable for business people. A great many could really not attend. There was 110 want of good or generous feeling ; lmt the demands of business were insurmountable. lie would move, " That the meeting be adjourned to Wednesday, in the evening, after business hours, —his Worship the Mayor to make public announcement of the time and place."—Mr. Kitchen seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously.
