A novel system of medicine inaugurated by Dr. Declat in Paria is creating a stir, raid a magazine is to b-j started to advocate its claims. The hypothesis is brietly that all disease is propagated by living germs, and the treatment consists in the sub cutaneous injection of such medicines as nitric acid, &c. Of the Superintendent o£ Nelson, tho writer of "The Week," in the 'Nelson Mail, says :—"He has calmly accepted the position of signer general to everything that Mr. O'Conor puts before him, and has placed himself upon a level with one of those stamping macliines that you may buy for about 30s, and screw on to the counter.
