Mb. Alfoed Auckland's Weekly Kepobt. At Ilia Huvnuirket, on Fri iuy lust, fodder wiis in full supply ; last week's prices scarcely maintained. Ilorso stoclc in usual supply, with a steady demand ; nil useful animals sold, with a slight advance on draught horses of medium strength. Prices obtained were : — Meadow hay, £2 to £3 10s the ton : oaten hay, £2 15s to £4 the tun ; rve »r:.-3 seed, 3s 9d to Is the bushel; o-vteu" e .air. 5s 9J the 100 lb. Heavy draught horses, £24 to £30; medium and lislht'druught, £S to £20; riding horses, L' 6 5s to .CM ; unbroken draught colts rising three years, .CIS to £27; draught yearling, £16. At Fnpakura, on Wednesday, cattle of a useful class were in full supply ; 204 head sold. There was a full attendance and the slight advance in values obtained on Thursday last was fully sustained. Prices given were as follow Fat cattle, 24s the lOOlbs.; dairy cows, £6 10s to £S; calves, 30s to 35s ; Tearlings, 42s to 455; IS-mouths to two-year-olds, £3 2s 6d to £4 12s Gd ; three-year olds, £6 15s each. At Remuera, on Thurs- ! day, dairy cattle were in greater numbers than usual, and slightly loivor in values. Store cattle in usual supply, and without alteration in price. Fat cattle in full numbers : IG6 head penned. Prices were very steady throughout tho sale, and last week's rates were sustained. Sheep were in moderate supply ; for grasing sheep there was no inquiry. ITat. sheep were at rather higher values. Pigs were abundant, but many of them of coarse quality—those were lower in price than of late ; but well-bred porkers maintained previous values. Prices obtained were : For choice dairy cows, £8 10s to £10 10s ; medium quality, £6 to £7 10s ; IS-month-olds, £2 to £2 15s; two-year-olds, £3 to £4; i hree-year-o!ds, £5 lUe to £7; fat cows, 21N to 25s ; steers, 25s to 27s the 100 lbs. Fat sheep, ojjd the H>; store merino wethers, 10s Gd to lis each. Weil-bred porkers, 4d the lb.; large aud coarse pigs, from 2.5 d the lb. MKSSKS. llO'TEli AND Sotis's ReI'OKT.— Horses : The market has exhibited much more vitality during the last and, although prices were scarcely so high as vendors were led to expect, horses of a goo.l stamp changed hands at satisfactory prices, weeds being aillicult to place. An aTerage number were disposed of at. the Durham Yards on Friday last, at about late quotations. Cattle: The number offered at Newmarket was scarcely up to the average. There was a steady demand for dairy cows, and prices were "firm. There was a slight improvement ill the inquiry for stores and workers. Fat beasts were in tolerable supply, with brisk demand, and for prime animals (light weights) 30s per 100 lbs. ivae obtained. Dairy cows sold from £S to £11; yearling steers, £2 to £2 10s; three-year-olds, £4 to £5 each. Sheep very scarce, und extreme prices ruled, which would be an unfair quotation as to tho n-.urkel value. Pigs were more plentiful, and in good demand, at from 3d to 4.1 per lb.
