To the Kditor of the Hebaij). Sib,—Having waited patiently to see the finishing touch given to Pitt-street, and finding now that the present cutting of the street, with its present formation, will be the gradient, I can only say, if the present gradient is to be adhered to, then a lasting disgrace will attach to the Corporation and their engineers. A high side and a low, a hump here, and a hump there, I may say that it U universally condemned. ludeed, aDy man with even one eye can see that a beautiful street is being spoiled. Is it to favour one or two residents that the present levels are permitted—an eyeBore to every lover of order.—l am, &c, Obseeteb.
