At the wool sale, yesterday, greasy, crossbred, fetched Is 3d ; greasy, merino, Is 3d, li 2d, to Iβ 4fl. Binnie and jVlcGill have been manufacturing steel from Tamnaki and Port Molyneux ironsand. The find the latter to be the better quality. The jOpera is drawing good houses. The season has been bought for JEI2OO. NELSON. A strong northerly gale this morning, accompanied by a epring tide, doing great damage to the Beach Road. Washed down the face and undermined railroad. NEW PLTMOUTH. Ward and Bellleld, has been settled. The defendants are to pay costs, give £10 to the Timaru Hospital, and -withdraw the plea of justification. —The rain haa slightly affected crops.
