OPENING OF THE UNION LODGE OF MARK MASTER MASONS.
The Union Lodge, No. 154, under the Grand lodge of England and Wnles, was opened last night at the Masonic Hotel, by Brother Hayward, P.IT., of Lodge No. 689, E.C., and of Mark Lodge, No. 60, E.C., in the usual form. The lodge was consecrated and duly opened at 4 p.m., after which, upwards of twenty-five membors were advanced to the sublime degree of Marked Master Masons, •when the following brethren were invested :— Brother W. R. Hayward, W.M. ; Brother Atkin, 3.W. ; Brother S. Savage, J.W. ; Brother Ibbeteon, M.O. ; Brother Douall, S.O. ; Brother Macready, J.O. ; Brother Sloane, S.D. ; Brother Batt, Treasurer ; Brother Wade, Secretary and Treasurer ; Brother Hurrell, J.D. ; Brother Avey, J.G. ; and Brother Porter, O.Gr. At the conclusion of the imposing ceremonies attached to the opening of a lodge of Mark Master Masons, a banquet in host Avey's best style was laid out, to which the whole of the brethren sat down. The usual loyal and Masonic toasts were drunk and responded to, and the brotherhood parted, after having spent a most agreeable evening.
