POLICE COURT.—Wednesday.
QBefore Or. S. Graham and G-. B. Owen, Eeqs., J.Ps.] Dbunkenhess.—One person forfeited his bail by non-appearance for this offence. Thbbatenin& Language.—Frank Walker, alias Walter, was oharged by George Deardon ■with threatening to take his life. The prosecutor deposed that on December 18th last he called on the defendant with regard to a charge of cattle stealing, when defendant threatened to rip him up with a knife and albo threatened to shoot him. Richard Ma*efield gave corroborative evidence. Mr. Broham informed the court that he had received several lettera from the Justices of the Peace in the district whore the defendant lives, stating that the defendant was of a violent temper, and that he was a terror to the whole district. The defendant was bound over to keep the peace for six months, himself in £50 and two sureties of £25 each.—William Spratt was charged with disobeying an order made on the 20th of March last under the Destitute Persons "Relief Act. This case was by consent adjourned until Thursday morning-
