Th» Washington Mixed Commission appointed to adjudicate upon the British claim a arising out of the late American War has concluded its sittings. About 130 claims were presented, most of which were rejected by the Commissioner*. One of the chief claims wai that of Mr. Valentino O'Brien O'Connor for £45,192 13« 9d, and £15,000, 11 years interest en this sum, this being the amount of loss sustained by him bj the destruction during the war of 746 hhde. of tobacoe, hie property.
