New Zealand Hebald Office. Friday evening. AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. Me. Aleued Bucklanb's Weekly ReTOnT. —The holidays have seriously interfered ■with the business in the stoek market. On Thursday last the entries both for dairy and Btore cattle were nominal, tat cattle were in leea than usual numbers, and of email size ; ■eventy-two head penned. Late prices were barely sustained ; they ranged from 22s to 243 the 100 lbs. Fat sheep were in moderate supply, of goud quality, and heavy weights ; they were in request at fully last week's values. Lambs were in larger numbers than for several weeks, and many of very middling quality. They were in demand, and late Talues fully sustained ; best quality brought from 17s to 20s each. Pigs offered in limited numbers, and without alteration in values. MB33HS. HUNTEB AND NOLAN'S RKPOET. Horses : The holidays have had a detracting effect on the market, und vendors have been uncertain whether to submit for sale by auction on Friday or Saturday, there being a fair muster on both dajs, but scarcoly an aTerage attendance of buyers ; however, during the week quite the average number ■were disposed of at a slight reduction in Talues. Cattle : There was a limited muster of dairy and store stock, which wore in slack demand, but no noteworthy alteration in values. There was an adequate supply of Wanganui fatled cattle, which were well competed for at 22s 6d per 100 lbs.—Sheep were penned in sufficient numbers for requirements, and met with rotdy sale at from 14s 6d to 19s 6d. 2fo stores offering.
