Sin,—As the acceptance of office by Mr Gillies will necessitate tho election of another Superintendent for duel;land, the inhibitiintj of tli« province should endeavour to Secure the services of a gentleman possessed of considerable influence in the" House of Representatives. It is quite evident from the constitution of the present Ministry, that the interests of Cook's Straits will be property looked after.
