The A. f l . N. Company's magnificent screw steamship City of Melbourne, Captain Moore, arrive in harbour at half-past one o'clock on Sunday morning. The ship Calcutta arrived at Melbourne on the Bth instant, and is the vssel reported by telegram as having been disabled. Prom the Anjus of the Oth imtaut we learn that during a heavy gale on the 2ird Jauuary, in a violent ffust of wind, the jib-boom, fore-topmast, fore-top-gallant mast, royal mast, &c, with all the varis, sails, and gear attached, were carried away short off by the top, Bnupping the foremost a foot or so above the deck. The mainroyal mast and skvsail mast, and the two yards, with the sails att tehed, were also carried away. The wreck was cut away as speedily as circumstances would permit, in order to obviate the serious consequence of knocking a hole in the iron plutes. Having secured the stump of the foremast, and been enabled to set three staysails and a square sail thereon. Captain King elected to proceed on his course, in preference to putting back to the Cape ol Good Hope, thus saving ii great deal of time, ■•xnense, and uncertainty to those interested in the voyage.

Tub beautiful clipper barque Ka Moi, 528 tons, Captain S. Greerkin, arrived in harbour yesterday afternoon from Honolulu, alter a splendid passage of twenty-eight days. Capt. Geerkin reports leaving on the 25th ultimo. Experienced fine weather throughout. Crossed the Equator on the 4th instant, and carried the S.K. trades until passing the Navigator Island. Sighted Manui Island on the"dlth instant; thence light, winds and calms till the 18t'\ after which fresh S.l'", anl easterly winds. Made the Great Barrier Island at -I o'clock yesterday morning, and arrived in liar hour as above. The Ka Moi is one of the prettiest and cleanest barques we have seen in thiport for a very long time past. :She is Brenicnbiult, and like all vessels hailing from that port, she is finished oil' with great smartness. She comes consigned to Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane, and will be laid on the berth for London, for which place she >vill at. once commenco to load. Her cabin and bonhs are very tastefully finished—in fact, the cnlirvessel calls for special commendation. She brings a quantity of hides for London.
