SUPREME COURT.—Bankruptcy.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 3. [Before Laughlin O'Brien, Esq., Registrar.] Mu. O'Bkien sat in Chambers this morning, to hear tho unopposed application for final application and discharge of bankrupts. Ke Jacob Fernandez, Hotel-keeper.— Mr. Bennett appeared for tho bankrupt, who had kept the Royal Hotel, in Auckland. The trustees' report was in etTeet that the bankrupt had suffered a long period from ill-health. The liabilities woro set down at £277, and the assets at £IGO (chiefly book debts). It also appeared that the landlord had distrained for rent and sold his goods, and Messrs. Must and Co. put in an execution for goods supplied. Mr. Bennett said there was no opposition ; the creditors had received tho nerossary notices, and tho provisions of tho statute had been duly complied with.—Tho Registrar declared the bankrupt to have passod his last examination, and discharged him from his liabilities.
