Mining Notices. PROSPECTUS OF THE GOLD FIELDS INVESTMENT COMPANY (LIMITED). Capital: £3,C00 in 300 Shares of £10 each. Provisional Directors: Robert Cooley, Esq. Thomas Ritchie, Esq. John Dickey, Esq. Dr. Bayntun. One Hundred Shares in this Company have already been taken up, and valuable investments made in well-known mines both at the Thames and at Coromandel. Further investments will continue to be made by the Directory in the most careful manner possible from time to time, as funds accrue from the disposal or allotment of the remaining 200 Shares. This Company has been formed with tho view of afTording those of moderate and small means an opportunity of investing £l§ or more on the security of a large number of shares in the safest and bestknown mines ; thus saving much risk and anxiety to he investor, who may be otherwise obliged to jeopard- i ise his savings in but a comparatively few mines. 1 The Directors believe the best interests of the Shareholders will be attained by their adhering to the following basis of operations :— 1. The purchase of Shares in the leading mines, to hold for Dividends. 2. Tho Purchase and Sale, through the Company's brokers, of shares in leading and other outside mines, as may be considered best from time to timo in the interests of the Shareholders. 3. To retain in haud a certain stated sum, to be used cautiously but promptly during the subsidence of small panics that may be expectcd, and apparently seem inevitable in the present exigencies of gold mining. Applications for the remaining limited number of Shares can now'bc made to the Secretary, from whom may be obtained the necessary forms and all further information. The terms of payment ari- follow: £5 on allotment, and the remalniug £'.> ir payments of £1 per month till the shares are fullv paid up. HENRY SIIERRARD, Secretary.
