DUKE OF EDINBURGH THEATRE.

Therk was but a very poor show at this house last night, and it was nothing more than might have been expected, for although the programme was sufficiently attractive to have induced a large attendance on any ordinary occasion, yet even tho sublime tragedy of Richard 111. could not draw a house during such weather as prevailed. Mr. Carey took the part of the " Bloody Duke," and as far as elocution was concerned, he read the part extremely well; in physique, however, he was not suited to tho part, being not half, ugly and crooked, enough, for the generally received idea of the monster. Mr. Clifford took the parts of Henry VI and the Earl of Richmond, and he also read his parts with extreme taste. On the whole, the play, which is a very laborious one for tho leading characters, was performed in a very creditable manner, and the only regret we felt was that, there was not the attendance which there surely would have been had the weather been fine. We should be glad to see Hicliard 111 repeated ; it will well repay a visit.
