DEPUTATION FROM PANMURE HIGH WAY DISTRICT.

A deputation', consisting of Mr. Pierce, and two other gentlemen, whoso names wo could learr, waited ye<tord»y up:n His Honor the Deputy-Suporintcndent, and asked that tho boundaries of the Panmure Highway District might to extended, 80 as to embrace within - thoir limits certain farm sections of Lady Hobson •tnd Mr Cawkwell; as also certain suburban sections on the northern margin of the Panmuro Basin. His Honor replied that ho thought it advisable to allow tho farm sections to remiin as at present, in their respective districts, and adduced, what _th denutation appeared to receive as, very satisfactory reasons in support of his opinion. In reference to the addition to the Panmuro district of the Ruburban sections, fiis Honor seemed strongly inclined to favor the wishes of the deputation, and reoommendect that the wriiten sanction of the proprietors interested in the addition proposed should be obtained, and forwarded to him, and that lie would extend that portion of the district in the manner desired.
