FATAL ACCIDENT AT TOLOGA BAT. We regret to have to record the death of Mr. E. B.Gilmore, who accidentally lost his life on the 6th May. He was crossing the river Uawa in a canoe on the above day, and while standing tip unfortunately overbalanced himself and fell into the water. Not being a swimmer he was able to mate but little effort to save his life. He sunk almost at once, and was seen no more. The accident was witnessed by the deceased's brother and two natives, who were unable to render him any assistance until it was too late. About an hour after the {sad event, the body was recovered. Deceased was a steady young man, and greatly esteemed by all who knew him, and who deeply deplore his untimely end.
