THE CITY BOARD ACT AMENDMENT BILL.

The prorogation of the Council yesterday by proclamation shelves the " City Board Act Amendment Bill," by which £150 per annum, the salary paid to the Chairman of the Board for twelve attendances at its meetings, might have been saved to the ratepayers of the city.
