Mr, Davy to move, That this Council, whilst recognising the necessity of a change in the form of Government existing in the Province of Auckland, is of opinion that no change should be made which will deprive this Council of its right to legislate independently for the local Government of the Province. Mr. Bit!, to move, That the petition of Edwin Stanley Brookes be referred to the Petition Committee. Captain Cooper to move, That Mr. Mation's petition be referred to Petitions Committee. Mr. Fabsibr to move, That ad interim Eeport No. 4 of the Committee on Petitions be adopted. OBD3B OB THE DAT. Supply.
