THE PANAMA MAIL.
Thb Government p.s. Sturt arrived in the ManultHU last night with the Auckland portion of the Panama mail from Wellington, and the Governor's despatches. As soon as the steamer dropped anchor, Mr. H. N. Brewer, of H.M. Customs, immediately went off and took charge of themails. Mr. Brewer, with his well known promptitude and courtesy, lost no time n coming into town and delivering the mails at the post office. Ihe early delivery of the mail will enable the public to receive their letters early this morning. The news received via Panama is not very important. Extracts will be found elsewhere.
