(FROM OUB OWN COBUEBPOXDENT.) January 27The following caees wore heard before Captain Mcllsop, K.M. :— Mooro t. McKee.—Claim 13s. Bill for stores paid into court. Glllespie V. Beid.—Claim £20, for goods and carting. A set off was filed by defendant for £14 10s. Adjourned till this day week. Kogerson v. Ooope.—Claim 10s., for a day's pay. Judgment for plaintiff, ss. and costs. Next Wednesday the monthly meeting of the Fapakura Agricultural Association will bo held in
tho usual place at 3 o'clock p.in , when I understand very important business will be brought forward. BI3E AT DIIUET. Another of those mysterious fires, which of late appear to bo the fate of all unoccupied house* at Drury, occurred yeaterdsy morning in tho case of the Drury Hotel, liitely occupied by William Cronksbaw, which wan burnt to the ground about fire o'clock. As might be expected, it's origin is unknown, but the publio tongue, like a busy machine, ae it always is, u rifo with dark eurmieinge, and I am beginning to fear, from the frequent repetition of the same thing, not without reason. I understand it was insured in tho New Zealand Insurance Company for £200. ACCIDENT. T am sorry to learn that yesterday a rather serious accident happened to Dr. Haynor, of Papafeurn, while riding homo from Papakura Valley on a somewhat high-spiritod horse, which, having teen rather well fed, was rather wild, and begun to buck and rear in a furious inunner, by which the doctor was thrown to the ground and sustained severe injuries about the head, shoulders, and other parts of hie body. Happily no bones are broken. Hβ is confined to bbd. __^_________^_
