ABRIVAL OF THE TARANAKX The K.Z.S.N. Company's s.s. Tarunaki, Captain Benner, arrived in the Manukau early yesterday morning, without the Panama mail. The Taranaki left the Eluff at -1 p.m. on the 17th, arrived at Port Chalmers at 6 a.m. on the 18th ; left Otago at 1 p.m. on tho 20th, and arrived at Lyttelton at 6 a.m. on the 21st; left again at 4.30 p.m., and arrived at Wellington at 9 a.m. on the ?2nd ; left Wellington at 3.30 p.m. on the 24th, and arrived at Picton at 8 p.m.; left at midnight, and arrived at Nelson at 9 a.m. on the 25th ; left eamo day at 8 p.m., and arrived off Taranaki at 10 a.m. on tho 26th. Discharged 70 tone cargo, and left again at 5 p.m., arriving at Onehunga wharf on the 27th at 10 a.m. Experienced fine weather throughout the trip. Tho Panama mail waa telegraphed just before the Taranaki left Nelson. 'I ho government p.e. Sturfc was waiting in Wellington to bring on the Governor's deepatches, and would most likely be the bearer of the Auckland mail via Panama.
