Thb Panama MaHi.—The s.a. Taranaki, is due in the Mauufemi to-day from "Wellington with the Panama mail. The steamer Ilidge, which arrived from the Thames on Friday night, brought up about 300 ozj. of geld, and 70 passengers. The cutter Don, arrived from Wangapoa on Saturday, with a cargo of timber from the mills. The 6teamer Enterprise arrived from the Thames on Saturday, with 200 OZ3. gold, from Barrj's claim, and about 40 paesengere. The barque A. H. Badger, Captain Brownell, which arrived off the North Head on Friday night, came up harbour on Saturday morning. Her cargo of grain is consigned, to Mesare. J. S. Macfarlane and Co.

The Johx i?'coiT.—The Times gives tho following account of the arrival of tliis vessel: — "Ihe chartered transport ship John Scott, Captain Stewart, from Auckland, New Zealand, arrived at the T pier, Woolwich Arsenal, yesterday morning, having been 116 days at sea. After leaving harbour the ship was becalmed, and she exDerieneed contrary winds the whole way from Cap 3 Horn to Ascension, where she lay to three daye, and bore up against strong E.N.K. winds coming up channel. There were three births and one death during the voyege." Kelics of a wreik were found on Chalkey Island by the Martin Bay Exploring party.
