ARRIVAL OF THE CLATJD HAMILTON". The P.N.Z. and A.R.M. Co.'s s.s. Claud Hamilton, Captain J. Vine Hrll, arrived in harbour yesterday from Sydney, with the English mail via tfuez. The Claud Hamilton left Sydney on the 17th, and has been seven days making the passage, owing probably to the contrary winds experienced. From the time of leaving Sydney until making the Three Kings fine * weather and easterly winds prevailed. Passed Capa Maria Yan Diemen at 11 a.m. on the 23rd, and arrived in port at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. The Claud Hamilton brings a full cargo (as per imports) and the following passengers: -Hev. Mr. Dean, Mrs. Dean and family, Mrs. Abeir, Messrs. R. Vallack, K. W. TV'nlber, J. G. Sterry, J. D. Myer, H. Weston, B. K. Stanton, and 9 in the steerage. We have to thank the purser, Mr. A. 'I illotson, and the officer? of the ship for the early delivery of our Sydney files. CUSTOMS' SEIZURE. A small cutter named the Secret, arrived in harbor early yesterday morning, with five casks emuggled. Bpirits, seized by the Customs' authorities at Wangarei, a few days since. The spirits were found on the beach at Wangarei, and were aent up to Auckland in charge of one of the Customs' officials at Wangarei. WEKKLY SUMMARY.
