KARAKA GOLD-FIELD

(FROM OUK OWN COKBBoPONDBNT.) January 22. Dn. Hoopek returned from the Tapu this morning, and reports Mrs. Brown in a dying state. A still richer find is reported at Mclsaacs claim, Tapu Creek. It is said that they are getting three or four ounces to tlie tin dish. Air. Mackay is at the Tapu to-day, and a township has been marked out. Except that Messenger's claim is showing better, I have nothing new to send from here. The Papatoitoi claim on the Moanataira Creek has sent in a splendid piece of stone, and Williamson's party are again working a good leader.
