This .morning lie was makinr s noise in the cell. I weat to see whi: was tho matter. Upon opening tho door prisoner laid hold of a bucket and struck at me with it. I shut the door against which tho bucket struck,mi ! it we s broken in pieccs. Had it not been fir:; j door I should have been Btruck.
