The Fixing Cloud.—This fine new brig, one of the handsomeet of her clas3 that has been turned out from our Ehipbuilding yards on the coast, and of the construction of which we have already given a abort description, is now alongside the wharf fitting out for passenger? to California, and sails to-morrow. The superior accommodation and capabilities afforded by the Plying Cloud has been the remark of every person that has visited her, and we are not at all surprised to hear that nearly thirty families have engaged passages in addition to some eighty single passengers who have decided to trv their fortune at San Fancisco. The Plying Cloud was built for and is now owned by Mr. A. Quartier, merchant, Queen-street, and at first intended for the Valparaiso arid Mauritius trade, and no expense has been spared by that gentleman to make her a firet-class trader and a credit to our port. For this trip, however, she has been chartered for California, the demand for passages there being eo gr6at and no other vessel offering, and we heartily congratulate Mr. Quartier upon being ready at the moment to lay such a fine and suitable craft at Mr. Woc-lley's (the agent) disposal. Captain Seon, late of the p.s. Tasnvmian Maid, has been appointed commander, and we feel euro a better choico could not have been made.
