AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. MR. ALFRED BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY BEPOBT. At the Haymarket, on Saturday last, hay was lower in price, only from 2s 6d to 3s 3d the ton. Maize, an inferior sample, 5s 9d the bushel. Good seed oats, 7s. Bran, Is 7d the bushel. Thorloy's food, 35s the case. Whitechapel spring carts, £25 ea< h. Horse Btock offered in limited number. There were none of good quality, and prices ruled low. At the Triangle, on Tuesday, there was a full muster of cattle, which met with a free sale. Cows and steers, from £7 15s to £9. Zoarlings, £4 5s to £5 12s 6d. The ineriap ewes brought from 19s 6d to 235. Aged half-bred ewes and lambs, 32s each. At .Newmarket, on Thursday, dairy cows in fair supply, and met with a good eale, prices of this description of stock heing higher than for some weeks. Fat cattle in usual supply, 83 head Bold ; last week's advance fully sustained, prime animals bringing near 7d. the lb.

Fat sheep were of good quality, but met a dull Bile, an 1 ssveral pens remained unsold ; prices lower, 2s to 3s each.

Pigs very plentiful, not more than half the number penned were sold, and those at much lower rates than have lately ruled.

"We have to report that at our yards on Monday, fat cattle were in good supply ; prices ruled very high—fully 50s. the 100 lbs. Store Cattle were in good supply, and brought fair , Pr Cows, from Napier, in low condition, brought from 'Dairy Cows' wore in fiir supply, and sold readily; prices are rather lower for this class of stock and are likely to fall still more, from ihe extreme high rates they have been bringing. Calves were in fair Puppo'i and sold well. Shbep Maiucst.-Wo had a fair market of of merino and half-bro-!s, but not of best qualities, Wanganui half-breds, second qualities, ranged Irom 275. to 30s. each. Merino, secoud qualities, 21s. ana ""otahuhu Sale.—We had a large market of store cattle at our yards ; prices ruled from 20s. to Ms. a head higher thnn at Newmarket on Monday. All to hand were Bold. Hohse Mabket.—We had a large mark«t of light harness, saddle, and draught horses. A considerable number changed hands; prices are a Bhade better. The demand for young draught stock is improving.
