This fino steamer is 162 52-100 tons, with two eDgines sixty horse power, and a carrying capacity of about 140 tons; is in thorough working order, and cm be employed without any immediate outlay. The ' Prince Alfred,' with her powerful machinery, large carrying capacity and roomy passenger accommodation, is most suitably adapted for her present profitable trade j and it will be well for the community of Onehunga that such a vessel be retained to develope the resources of the port in the increasing steam-trade of the West Coast. In the Wangarei, the Bay of Islands, and Tauia ga trade, she may also he most profitably employed, and add to the rapid progress of these various settlements.
