rFROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Deo. 7. Yesterday Messrs. Hunter and Co. held their usual monthly sale of fat and store cattle here. The attendanco was large ; purchasers were scarce, and prices ranged rather lower than at former markets. PAPAKURA ASSOCIATION. The adjourned meeting of tin'? association was hel. shortly after the sale, at the Papakura Hotel, Mr James Runcimari. in the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read atld confirmed. The following letter from Mr. Crisps, addressed to tho Chairman, was then read : — " Mauku, Nor. 30, 1865. " Sir, —According to the wish of y.ur Association, I have forwarded to your newly appointed Secretary the books of the Association, togeth. r with tho small balance in hand. I regret that you should be led into error in stating that I had not replied to a letter addrt-Bsed to mo by Air. Hay, as I did so by the first possible opportunity, as is my invariable custom. "J. Chispb. " W. Hay, Esq." Upon the motion of Mr. James Runciman the letter was ordered to be entered on tho minutes. Mr. RaYbn proposed that the meeting adjourn to next sitting day in consequence of the fewness of members, owing no doubt to thu Garrison Hunt and Mr. Buckland's wool sale, but finding no seconder it lapsed. The Chai&man alluded to the Mid 'lantas statue, but nothing definite was agreed to in tke matter.
