THE REGATTA, 1866.
A public meeting ma held last evening at the Waitemata Hotel, Qu en-street, for the purpose of taking steps to get up the Annuul Regatta, ISGG. Thero was a good attendance, and Mr. Wavmovth wbs voted to llio chair.

Mr Copland proposed, Mr. WadhaM seconded, that Mr W. Wright, waterman, be pi iced in the committee, fo represent the watermen in the programme of the forthcoming regatta. Mr. Grii.niNT' Mr. Copland seconded, that the following gentlemen be appointed a committee to carrv out t' e forthcoming regatta of IS6G — Messrs. Geo. Henderson, H. R. Lewis, D. Macfarlane, C Kobins'in, J- H. Fletcher, T. Williams, H. J. Wadham. T. Xiccol, Q. T. KissMng, A. Edmonds, Xieh'lson, L. Nathan, W. Wright, J. J. Fitzaihbon. and Mr. Hoskruge This concluded the business of the meeting, and the Chairman announced that tho committee were to assemble on Monday evening next at the Waitemata Hotel, for the purpose of deciding tho races, and other important business.
