PARNELL DRAMATIO CLUB.

Tire members of of this Club mot last night' tit the Exchange Hotel, Parnell, to enjoy n pleasant evening of social converse, and an excellent supper, provided by tlin worthy host. After justico had bocn done to tho good ihings placed on the table and the cloth removed, a number of toasts were proposed and drunk with great cordiality and enthusiasm. The greatest unanimity and good feeling prevu ; led among tho lompnny, which, we wero glad to see, was graced by the presence of ladies. The dramatic amateurs, whose performance passed off with so much eclat- on Monday evening, propose giving another pcri'orinaucc at an eaily dato. From tho speeches made, which owing to the lateness of Hie hour when they wero uttered, we canuot fully report, it appears that the handsome room, erected by the members on a truly self-reliant principlo, will bo available for all sorts of pubiio meetings, but that those of a charitable object will always have special attention. A performance will shortly be forgiven tho Orpahn Homo, a very legitimate mode of combining innocent recreation with lasting goad to those who are cast fatherless and motherless on the wide wide world. Wo wish tho iiiociety every success, and give great credit to its members for their energy and perseverance in securing for Parnell what Auckland has not got, a commodious, handsome, and clean public room for public meetings.
