TRANSFER OF PUBLICANS' LICENSES.

Tuesday, September 5. (Before Thomas Beckliam, Esq., J.P., Chairman ; Reader Wood, Esq., J.P.; and J. Baber, Esq., J.P.) The following licenses were transferred :— Robert Cox, Princo Arthur, to Thomas Lowes. Richard (3-wynne, Junction, to Richard L. Rogers. David Henderson, General Cameron, to Androw Kerr. David Evitt, Claremont, to John MattlieWß. Thomas Ivelly, Railway Terminus, to Joßepli Senior. Peter S. McKcnzie, United Service. to Christopher Q-. Quick. Lawrencc Robertson, Union Hotel, to Peter Verdoa Dixon. Joseph Senior, Robert Burns, to William Hume. Henry J. Sims, Wheat Sheaf Inn, to William J. Mclnman. Bryant Vercoe, Greyhound, to Richard Jamea Yercoe. William Smith, Scotia Hotel, to Thomas Powell. BUSH LICENSES. John Reed, Waiwerawera, to Henry Sims. John Kelly applied for a bush license at the Wado. Henry Stoney also made an application for a bush license at the Wade. Mr. Hill appeared for Kelly, and Mr. Wynn for Stoney. The Bench granted the license to each of the applicants, and remarked that as the competition was so great it thought they could well afford, to pay the full amount of £10. The application of William Mansell Evans for a bush license at Matakana was granted. Mr. Beveridge appeared for the applicant. Their Worships fixed the amount at £10.
