Wade in his defence said : That the Constable had not seen him with the bag. That he did not know what the bag contained. 'J.he Commissioner said : There would be n. witness to prove the prisoner Wade was on guard at Fort Britomart the night before tho robbery.

His Worship committed both prisoners'for trial at the next criminal ses.ions of the Supreme Court.
