CHEAP BREAD.

To tho Editor of the New Zealand HjntAiri. Sih, —In reference to an trticle in your paper two days ago, I beg to send you the following facts for publication, for which X enclose my name as a guarantee :■—-My brother, the head clerk and cashier in a largo cotton factory, was asked to become manager and overseer of a baking concern, or rather, a jointstock bakery. Tho shares were fixed at £1 eacli, and no single person or member was allowed to take more than ten. They were taken up by the various subelcrks and others connected with tho factory. My brother having the entire management, was in a position to know the exact state of affairs, and in all his conversations with mo before I loft hira, he gave me repeated assurances of the great success of the undertaking. The ten shares lie took would sell in a very short time for double the money, and the y early per-centage for the money invested waß 125 per cent., as every pound brought in, at tho close of tho year, another pound and five shillings. From Ins ten shares of £1 each, he hud a clear profit of £12 10s. This shows tho great profit bakers must have. Should any such joint concern bo formed I shall gladly take ten shares. Hoping others will do likewise, I am, yours, &c., Eeii:ess. P.S. Any person applying can have my name.
