RENDERS are invited for the following Steam X Services on the Const of New Zealand, for the conveyance ol her Majesty's 3laila for one year, torunliable thereafter by three months* notice :— 1. A steamer leaving Otago 011 the first Monday in 31 invalid proceeding thence to Manukau via Lyltcltoii, Wellington, Pieton, Nelson, and Tarauaki ; leaving Manukau on tho third Monday in May, back to Otago by tho same route, and eo on, making the voyage every four weeks. 3 2. The precise date of commencing the respective services may be a matter of arrangement, provided it harmonises with the above system. Sufficient- mail accomodation to be provided to the satisfaction of the Postmaster-General, and a free passage for a post-otlice clerk in charge of the English mail, if required. The I'ostmaster-Geueral to fix the dates of arrival and departure nt each port, and to have the power of detaining any vessel for 2 t hours without charge ; the rate of charge for further detention to be stated in the tenders.
