March 2, "Joseph Maxwell," Stewart, from Fairhaven, 17 months out, with 450 barrels sperm oil, and 1550 barrels black oil : Feb. 20, spoke the "Nile," Smith, from Havre, 6 months' out, with 700 ban-els black oil; "Achilles," Veale, London, 9 days out, with merchandise ; "Louisa," Wright, London, 18 months out, with 900 barrels sperm oil; "Caernarvon," Irving, from Sydney, 12 months out, with 170 barrels sperm oil. 3, "■ Selina." Wilcox, from New Bedford, with 900 barrels black oil, and 100 barrels sperm oil. 6, " Caroline," Williamson, from Sydney, 10 months out, with 40Q barrels sperm oil; "Nimrod," from Sydney, with merchandise: spoke a vessel off the Cavallas, who 1 reported herself the " Lady Amhurst," but on running across her stern, proved to be the "Matilda," of London, lately left this portfor home. ; "Kate, " Pringle, from Sydney, with merchandise. 9, " Thorn," Goodale, from Sag harbour, put in leaky; "Turcon," Watson, from London, put in leaky, with loss of boats and try works, being obliged to throw them overboard, and start their water to lighten the vessel. 10, "Flying Fish," U.S. schooner, Pickering, from an exploring expedition.
