News of another interesting development in the motion picture industry is contained in the announcement of the formation of the famous play-ers-Lasky British Producers, witji a capital of £600,000. This means the encouragement of British actors and writers, who will * for the first time have the chance of competing with the immense American output. * * ■* » Major Robert Warwick's first Paramount production, "Secret. Orders " has just been finished. The cast includes Norman Selby (.oetter known as Kid McCoy), Wanda Hawley, Theodore Roberts, Raymond Hatton and several other favourites. * * # B The Briggs' comedies, which are meeting with phenomenal success .at the* Strand Treatre, New York, are coming to New Zealand.
