I can lick any man in this gang, and I won't have any humbug!" "Well, you can't lick me!" roared a big Irishman." "Are you sure?" inquired the ganger. "Yes, certain? sure," : said the Irishman. "Well, then/' said the ganger, "you go to the pay-box and get your money. I don't mean to have any man on this job that I can't lick!"
