, A Napier paper i s responsible for the statement that a member of the "Damaged Goods" Company had his luggage left on .the railway station in Wellington under peculiar circumstances when the company took rail for Napier the other day. A porter indignantly retused to touch it in view of the label Prominently displayed and asked was the Railway Department to be considered liable for the damage. As railway porters are usually as well informed of local events as other people, this yarn appears decidedly thin. It is probably a zealous attempt to advertise the showin Napier.
