All Socialists are not "Red Feds.' 7 Jack London was an American and a Socialist, and yet we read this of him, written by a friend: "In the first yearof the war the late Jack London told me that, except for his personal responsibilities for the welfare of the many persons dependent upon him, he would have gone over the northern border into Canada to enlist as a soldier in England's outgoing colonial army. He did not tell me what he did in place of going, but Mrs. London did, last week. He has been, supporting the mother of a soldier."
