THE AULDANA VINEYARDS EXHIBIT

B. Reginald Collins and Co, Limited, Exclusive Concessionaires, Auldana Vineyards, South Australia. Sunny Australia has grown steadily in favour for its beautiful wines, and Auldana, one of the oldest vineyards in the Commonwealth, is fittingly represented by a charming little exhibit, -which is noticed immediately one enters the Exhibition Hall, of this vineyard's rarest and choicest vintages. In open competition, with the old-world wine growers, Auldana has met with -distinguished success —even in France, where champagnes, clarets, burgundies, etc., axe so famous. Whilst much could be said and written about Auldana, it is not here intended to dilate generally upon the virtues of its perfect wines, but bring before the notice of New Zealanders—and thus assist the object fo>which this exhibition was. promoted— that large quantities of wines such as sparkling and still hocks (which were before the war imported into New Zealand from enemy countries) are grown within the British Empire. The proprietors of the Auldana vineyards, having lent special care and study to the production of wines of these varieties, guarantee them equal to any imported into New Zealand. Those really interested in fine wines should pause for a few moments at this exhibit, where a

member of Messrs. B. Reginald Collins and Co., Ltd., will be in attendance to accept instructions for small parcels of Auldana (special vintage) wines, which will be specially indented direct •from the vineyards for each consumer. Exclusive Concessionaires Auldana Vineyards, B. Reginald Collins anl Co., Ltd.," National Mutual Buildings, Cus-tomhouse-quay. ** Champion " Flour. Read the manager's characteristic message in this issue to the general 'public. "Champion" Flour and "Standard" Oats—the famous lines produced by the Northern Roller Mills —are household words in New Zealand, and many of our best and bravest, now fighting our battles at the front, were nurtured on them. Nothing like generous food for building up a strong, sane and courageous people. Is it not so, Peter? The Northern Roller Milling Company, Ltd., who produce the "Champion" and the "Standard" brands, import all their wheat from the South Island, and use only New Zealand coal (400 tons monthly). It is a genuine local industry paying annually in wages £12,000, and is in no way connected with any Millers' Association.
