How the Backblocker is Being Made Much of. NEVER has the rural elector been made so much of as he is just now. In view of the coming big fight, the emissaries of both- sides are eager and. brisk. The Liberal flying squadron is working steadily and hard. The Reform scouts are everywhere afield to peer and. see. The farmer finds himself courted, flattered,' and. cajoled by both sides. All this because, despite all boasts and-prophecies, nobody knows_ quite how the land lies and neither side can afford to risk a chance.
