A six days' race is mooted in Sydney competitors to lide twelve hours a day' m teams of two riders each. A Sydney syndicate has approached the New South Wales League with a proposal to run such a. contest next October. Sinulai contests recently held in the United States have been a great, success financial lv. The proposed prize money for tho race is £150, winning team £.lo second team, £25 third team, 'and a bonus of £10 for every team that cov01 s, a stipulated distance. B Brooks and Co The International Cyclists' Union, vluoh controls the running of the world's championships annually, at a recent conference decided to. permit any Australasian representative to compete in the world's classic events, so long as they are sent as accredited representatives by any of the Australasian leagues. The above permit will thus faciliatate am Australasian riders competing at this year's championship meeting, which is being held in Rome next June A South Australian cyclist, named J. McDonald, had a terrible experience recently up on one of the West Coast stations He left Mr. Gunns Hairs; Station for Chicerloo, on his bicycle, but had only proceeded a few miles aJonig ail old track when he collided with a stone fence, sustaining a heavy fall resulting in a broken leg. McDonald lav for three days and two nights without food before he was discovered.
