AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. Mi:. ALFRED BUCKLANU's WEEKLY REPOHT. At the [lnymarket on Saturday last, fodder was in usual supply, prices ruled from £2 10s. to X\ His. per ton. Oats—an indifferent sample —brought "is. per bushel, There was a full market of horses, principally of a light description, and good competition ruled throughout for suick of this description. Draught horses were not in request, and several were withdrawn. For the artillery horses, an average of £ll was obtained. At the Triangle on Tuesday, not many cattle were penned, they were dairy stock, and sold freely, best cows (fringing £2O each. A full market of sheep sold at good rates. Napier merinos, three-fourths fat, brought 21s. to 28s. each; Australian wethers, ex Hydra, 17s. G<l. each.
At Newmarket on Thursday (being the race day nut many store cattle were brought forward) fat cattle were in full supply, about 100 head sold High rates ruled throughout, best quality bringing 455. to 50s. the IOOIbs.
The sheep market was fully supplied with wethers, generally in good condition. Merinos brought from 20s. to 28s. each. Half-bred Leicester, 28s. to 'A-is. each, with a free sale. Pigs were more plentiful than usual, there was a steady enquiry for them, and all sold at fully late rates.
