CRICKET.
A cricket match was played on Wednesday at the Albert Barrack Square between eleven civilians and an eleven of the 43rd Regiment (head-quarters). The wickets were pitched at 10 o’clock in the morning, and were drawn at 5 o’clock in the evening. The day proved to he very fine, and the ground was in very good condition. The following are the totals of the first innings: —43 rd Regiment, .59 ; Civilians, (!G. The cricket match was resumed on Thursday, The wickets were pitched at 10 o’clock in the morning, and drawn at 5 o'clock in the evening. There were a few cricketers in the civilian eleven who could not attend yesterday, but their substitutes proved good cricketers. The following are the totals of the second innings;—43rd Regiment, 71 ; Civilians, G5. The civilians were thus declared the victors, with four wickets to spare.
