From the Press of tbe 21st we extract the following : Election fob the Pelorcs.—The election for a member in the Provincial Council for the Pelorus was he!d on Monday, al Havelock." There were two candidates—Mr. O'Sullivan, iun., Tua Marina, and Mr. Blaymires. At the close of the poll, Mr. O'Sullivan was declared duly elected, the votes being 49 for Mr. O'Sullivan and 6 for Mr. Blaymires. The Picton and Blenheim Railway.— We learn that Mr. Wrey having given security, in accordance with his arrangements with the Provincial Government, will at his earliest convenience proceed to England for the purpose of forming a company to construct a railway between Picton and Blenheim. Newspaper Printing Company, -r A meeting of shareholders and intending storeholders of the Marlborough Newspaper and I'rinting Company is called for Friday evening next, at the Tasmanian Hotel, at eight o'clock.
