■ ARRIVAL OF THE GANGES, FROM LONDON. The ship Ganges, 1211 tons, Captain Funnell, left Queenstown on the sth November ; sighted San Antonio on the 25th November ; had steady N.E. trades, and crossed the Equator on the 28th November, twenty-four days out, in longitude 24 deg. 30 min. W. The S.E. trades were steady, the meridian of the Cape was crossed in 39 deg. 30 min. S., and the Easting ran down in about 43 deg. S., with fine weather until about 120 deg. E. Tasmania was sighted on the 25th January. Had foul winds from thence to the Kings, on sth Feb., and light winds and calms along the coast. The deaths on board 'have been unusually great, amounting to 50, principally of infants, from bronchitis and hooping cough. The births were 16. Two sailors also were lost off the mainyard on the 7th January ; the one making a slip and dragging the other after him. The Ganges brings a large cargo, and is consigned to Mr. W. Grahame.
